Who?

Just call me MamaSab. I frequently talk about the three kids in my life:  Diva Girl, Rascal, and Vlad.

Diva Girl is six. She was diagnosed with Childhood Disintegrative Disorder just before her third birthday. CDD is a little known diagnosis that falls on the autism spectrum. She is my spinner who loves all things pink and sparkly. Put Diva Girl in a dress and give her pretty bead necklace and all is well in her world.

Rascal is 3. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at a wee 19 months old. He is a bundle of energy but also a snuggle bug. He's my happy flapper and cars lover. Rascal can be happy almost anywhere, my easy going middle child.

Vlad is one and broke my heart by leaving babyhood behind. He was diagnosed with autism at a shocking 16 months old. We knew at around 12 months. He is my serious fellow, but if you can make him laugh, it is like music. He is now constantly toddling around the house (often in circles) and happy flapping over a good disney movie. He is also a total Mama's Boy, and I love it.

Oh, and I suppose there is more to me than my family (or is there?) I am a reader. Love classics and fantasy, especially. I pretty much live for my date nights and my Mom's nights out. Good food (that I didn't have to cook or clean up) and good conversation (with real live grown ups) are glorious things to a woman who spends most of her days with 3 messy kids who say one word at a time. I'm addicted to sugary lattes. And I spend way too much time on the interwebs.
